Our Consultants

Vanessa Cullen CIM, CFP®, EPC

Certified Financial Planner, Senior Associate

Vanessa was the co owner of Bradford Financial Services Inc. and has successfully transitioned the company from not only a Registered Deposit Broker service but a full-service financial planning firm. Vanessa remains a consultant with Bradford Wealth Partners where she enjoys working with retirees or those close to retiring as well as small business owners who want to enjoy living without money-stress. She meets with her clients on a regular basis to ensure their financial goals are being addressed with peace of mind.
Vanessa hails from a dairy farm in Pitt Meadows, B.C where she began her career as a Treasury Analyst in the Oil and Gas industry. Later she completed her Canadian Securities Course and Certified Investment Manager designation. It was during this time that Vanessa was involved in major equity and bond dealings and learned the intricacies of stocks and bonds and how they were priced and traded. In 1993, Vanessa relocated to Kamloops to be closer to family and transitioned from Corporate Finances to Personal Financial Planning. She obtained her Certified Financial Planner in 2000 and holds the Elder Planning Counselor designation. Vanessa is a published author of a chapter in “Financial Success for Women by Women,” a compilation of advice and examples provided by the top female Investment Planning Council (IPC) advisors in Canada. Vanessa enjoys Bikram yoga, hiking, mountain biking, and playing hockey – not watching. She is proud of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro and even more proud that she was able to drag her husband up with her. She could not be happier in her new role as grandma.

Supporting the communities within which we work

At IPC, we built IPC Cares to bring together the various efforts we make towards enhancing the communities within which we operate. By adopting causes that are close to our hearts, we keep ourselves committed and accountable.

Last year alone, as a company, we supported the aid efforts on the Fort McMurray fires, palliative care through The Healing Cycle Foundation and women and children through The Salvation Army.

Perhaps the most significant effort we undertake, and one that we believe is representative of the kind of work that inspires and keeps us committed to our Corporate Social Responsibility(CSR) efforts, is the community development project in Honduras with The Carpenteros & Friends. Last year’s project involved a group of IPC staff and Advisors volunteering their time and energy on the ground. Very little is as inspiring and rewarding as living the lives of the people you’re helping, and every one of the people who took the journey came back a changed person, even more determined to stay committed to making a difference in the world!

We also made countless small but significant contributions of our time and resources within our communities through many grassroots charities we believe in, and the ripple effects of their efforts are always rewarding.
